Our Vision

Today we see an increasingly dynamic world of accelerated change, due to the convergence and interdependence of technology, human capital and strategy. The major challenge facing most decision-makers is the need to efficiently manage scarce resources and ensure that projects or programmes are appropriately conceived, developed and implemented for long-term sustainability.

Individuals and organisations require a one-stop shop for complete solutions to current and emergent challenges in the business environment.

Recognising this need prompted Miss Maryam Mahmoud Atta of INTERNATIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES LIMITED (ICS) to establish a firm whose strategic focus is the provision of leading edge consulting services to a discerning clientele that have an eye for quality. Whilst not pretending to have solutions to all problems, ICS' aim is to provide efficient and customised services to meet our clients' unique needs.

There is a growing number of general public and private, international, government and non-governmental organisations who increasingly require these professional consulting services. The need to seek professional assistance for hands-on solutions to meet strategic objectives and enhance performance has led such organisations to increasingly benefit from consultants.

Our varied experience at ICS extends across the whole of Nigeria. We have successfully undertaken assignments for various States and Local Governments, some Government Owned Enterprises, participated in internationally financed projects and collaborated with non-governmental organisations on developmental programmes.

ICS has formed strategic alliances with globally renowned management consulting firms with the necessary expertise and access to highly experienced professionals to undertake some internationally financed projects in Nigeria.

Our Core Team

Maryam M. Atta, the Managing Partner/CEO is the founder of ICS. She holds a Bachelors degree in Economics and a Masters degree in Development Economics from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, England. Over a period of twelve years, she has gained considerable work experience mainly in the areas of Banking and Finance in various institutions in Nigeria. Maryam has achieved wide recognition amongst the business community in Nigeria having established enduring relationships within the private and public sectors of the economy.

A widely travelled professional with an interest in developing a strong career, she decided to face the challenge of running a fully integrated consulting company with dogged determination. Her main areas of interest include issues in economic development and public policy.

Maryam leads a team of highly motivated and experienced consultants made up of economists, bankers, engineers, accountants and social scientists. All of them have over 10 years of practical experience in many areas which include, undertaking socio-economic studies, project planning and management, human resource development, financial restructuring.

 

Bilya Bala is a consultant/adviser with ICS. He holds a Bachelors degree in Political Science and a Masters degree in English. We have benefited from his vast experience in Personnel management and development. A member of various professional bodies such as Institute of Personnel Management, Nigerian Institute of Management and Association of Management Developers.

His working experience has been with Ministry of Education, Kano (as lecturer), Nigeria Airways (Senior Personnel Officer-training, research and development), Triumph Publishing Company, Kano (Manager, Admin. And Personnel), NITEL PLC, Lagos (Senior Manager, Personnel), IMB, Lagos (Manager, Personnel/Training) and Alpha Merchant Bank (Assistant General Manager, Admin, Personnel and Training).

Bilya is currently the Managing Partner of Renascent Consult Inc., a firm of management, training and financial consultants. He has been the project director for several special projects assisted by the ADB and PTF.

Niyi Olaniyan is a graduate of Foreign Languages of the University of Ife (now O.A.U). He also holds a Masters of International Law and Diplomacy degree of the University of Lagos where he also obtained a diploma in Business and Industrial Law and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree with a major in General Management and Finance. A trained accountant, Niyi commenced his accounting training with Pannel Kerr Fosters' Nigerian practice, where he participated in several auditing, taxation and accounting engagements for a wide range of clients in the public and private sectors. He has also acquired banking and financial skills as an employee of Lead Merchant Bank Ltd. as well as County Savings and Loans Ltd.

Niyi presently manages a management consulting firm, NITOKS Consultants Ltd. with a focus on business re-engineering, corporate restructuring and manpower planning. He has participated as a key consultant in various assignments for State Government and some parastatals.
